Wear the clothes you want to wear
© 15 August 2019 Marthijn UittenbogaardHow free are we in our choices to dress the way we want to? I played the MMORPG FFXIV for many many hours. MMORPG FFXIV means: Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game Final Fantasy 14. In this game you have hundreds of clothing items you can wear, and most people wear clothes that you never see in real life in our streets. If you would dress up like they way people choose to dress up in a game, then you would feel very uncomfortable, because many people will look at you in a way like you are some kind of lunatic.
Many people in computer games wear also sexy clothes. Clothes that shows a lot of skin. Most people are in real life not so pretty as their online characters. Or not so young anymore.
In The Netherlands you are now forbidden to wear a burka in places like a train or a bus. You can argue that we all need to see each other's faces. In games, some people wear masks all the time. In Watch Dogs 2 for instance one of the hackers wears a mask. He (Is it a he? Or uses she a voice manipulator?) looks sexy, but I haven't seen his face. The face will be revealed later during the game I'm told.
Some years ago, I read about a naked man walking through the UK. He refused to wear clothes and was arrested many times. Also in the UK a master was walking with his female slave. He had her on a leash. A bus driver refused them to enter his bus. The girls felt discriminated and talked to the press about it. She liked being the property of her friend.
I think all people should dress the way they feel. We should allow diversity. We should not (legally) bother people wearing different clothes than most people do. Even if this means some will wear a mask all the time, or some will leave the house in Adams costume, or some will wear futuristic clothing, or some will wear clothes showing only some body parts: that the cunt is totally naked or that a man has his balls hanging out. Other people will dress up like animals: they like fur clothing.
In my opinion everything has to do with sexuality: directly or indirectly. Even if you dress up 'decent' it is sexual.
I myself always dress the same and like a conformist. I'm not a good example in this. Hope you do better than me.
Children must also have the freedom to wear what they want. Let us embrace freedom.
Or do you want to react to it? Then I hope you will get in touch.
